Bio

Leigh-Ann Butler is the Scholarly Communications Librarian at the University of Ottawa, where she oversees the library’s open publishing services, the institutional repository, and open access investments. Previously, she was a policy analyst on open science at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC). She is a Research Associate at the ScholCommLab, a Board member of the Library Publishing Coalition, and member of Coalition Publica’s Library User Group. Her research focuses on scholarly communication, open scholarship, and science policy, advocating for equitable and sustainable publishing models.
